Falling For You Synopsis

Niki DiMico has a lot of things: an over-involved Italian mother, a neighbor with a feral, Chanel-wearing chihuahua, a Ben & Jerry's addiction, and a tendency to word vomit when she's nervous. What she doesn't have is a job or a man.

Bo Murphy is a geeky, single dad whose daughter asks more questions than a week's worth of Jeopardy contestants. He's busy running his business, hanging out with his pastry-pontificating baker best friend, and trying to survive his incorrigible daughter's childhood.

When a rude passerby knocks Niki onto the sidewalk, Bo attempts to help but leaves the encounter confused by her babbling about cannoli and unemployment, and frankly, concerned about her sanity. Still, he can't stop thinking about her adorable freckles and stunning blue eyes.

They meet again at a bookstore in Portland, Maine's Old Port, which has Bo contemplating a wardrobe overhaul and panic buying an inappropriate book. But when he finally gets the courage to ask her out, he realizes there is more to Niki than he initially realized, and before long, both he and his daughter are enamored with her.

Until a ghost from his past returns and throws his world into chaos.
